Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to hang out with Sean & Melissa for a while, talk about their wedding plans and take some cool shots of them together before the fall season comes to a close here in Southern Ontario. We hiked down into a section of Albion Falls that I haven’t been to before, and I’m sure it won’t be the last time I’m there – it’s a great area with super locations. Enjoy the pics !
For the last 3 years, I’ve had the opportunity to take some candid family photos for a fabulous family. With two great kids and wonderful attitudes, it’s always a pleasure to work with this bunch. It’s been a priviledge to watch the kids grow up a bit and get to know them. This year was no different. On a lazy Sunday afternoon, we met at the Dundas Driving Park and for the next hour and a bit just had some fun together. I hope you like the pics as much as I enjoyed taking them.
Last week we did another shoot with Liam and his mom & dad. This little guy did a great job and stayed happy for the hour that I was there, which is always a bonus when you’re working with little children. Mom dressed him up in a couple outfits for Halloween and we had fun getting him to laugh and play with the tags on stuffed animals. Here’s just a few of the images from the shoot:
From the time we showed up at Jennifer’s parents home and met her family and the bridal party, we knew this was going to be a fabulous day to photograph and be a part of. Jennifer looked amazing, the wedding party was a fun bunch and the weather couldn’t have been any better. From the ceremony in Burlington to the reception at the Queen’s Landing in Niagara on the Lake – this day was full of smiles, laughter and fun right from the start. We hope you enjoy this sample of images as much as we enjoyed capturing them.
Last week Rochelle and her family met me at Websters Falls for a family portrait session. We had a super fun time with her and Andrew and the kids did a fantastic job of smiling and posing when they had to. We kept it pretty loose and easy going and it shows in the casual tone to the images. I know they’ll enjoy them for many years to come – and hope you do too!
A couple weeks ago, we got out to Adventure Village and the Beachfront to have some post wedding fun with Shay all dressed up in her fabulous wedding dress. We love doing these shoots and taking some chances that you wouldn’t normally take on a couple’s wedding day while not ruining the dress for them. Beau & Shay had some fun ideas and we had a great time with the two of them and gave them a couple hours to enjoy her dress all over again.
This was our 2nd shoot with Baby Liam, and we had a fabulous time and were shocked at how much he’s grown since his infant shoot. We got to spend some time outside in the sunshine with him, and get some great family shots with mom & dad and change him into a little Tiger Cats jersey to show his black and yellow pride ! It’s great to see a baby develop and a personality bloom – and Liam has a very bright future ahead of him !
When I sat down with Stephen & Realle to talk about shooting their wedding, I was so hoping they would pick me as their photographer because I could tell from the first moment that it would be a fun day with them, rain or shine. Well, it turns out I was right about it being a fun day with them AND we were blessed with a great day with lots of great light, emotional moments and a fabulous bunch of family and friends to help them celebrate. Even if their anniversary wasn’t on Canada Day, I’m sure Stephen would make sure Realle always had fireworks to celebrate their marriage. Congratulations and enjoy the pics !
In a couple days, kids will be done school and doing lots of fun stuff for the summer. Get out your cameras, shoot lots, capture some great stuff and make some big prints for your homes. Too many people just leave their pictures on their computer screens. Pick a couple of your favorite ones, make some big prints and hang them up. You’ll smile every time you walk by and tell everyone who visits the story around the picture. It’s what cameras were made for. Enjoy your summer everyone. Stay safe, laugh lots.
