I don’t think there’s a better day of the year to get dressed up and go out than October 31st.  If you’re young, or young at heart – you go out for candy.  If you’re in love – you go out to get married and Dana & Kevin did just that – in style.  At the wonderful Greystone Golf Club in Milton, we were thrilled to be a part of their wedding day.  These two are a fabulous couple to work with and all day long we caught them and all their guests smiling and laughing.  Hats off to Dana for braving the light rain and wind for a while to do some outside photos – they turned out fabulous and were totally worth it !

Laura & Steve’s Wedding

Last weekend, we hopped in the car and drove up to Barrie for a truly spectacular wedding with Laura and Steve.  While the winds were chilly (ok, downright cold), the clear skies made for some very dramatic images and once we got inside at the Tangle Creek Golf Course, the fabulous reception just added more smiles and laughs to a truly wonderful day.

A couple weeks ago, Brent and Jessica asked us to be a part of their big wedding day and we had a great time with them and their families and friends at the Flamorough Hills Golf Club.  Even though we got some nasty weather, these two were lost in each others smiles all day long.  But, like they say – after every rain comes a rainbow – and it came just for Brent & Jessica that day.

So, I was dog-sitting the other day and before I took Charlie back to his own house, my kids were asking me to take some pictures of him against the white backdrop I had set up from doing some headshots a couple days earlier.  Why not I thought – it might be kinda fun.  Charlie’s normally very happy and cheerful, but I think he knew what was going on and became like I do in front of the camera – just a straight face.  The winking shot made the kids laugh pretty hard though.  Hmmmmm…..pet photography……….

On Friday night and Saturday, I went to help Lisa’s dad close up the cottage, and of course – took the camera with me.  Along with some cool shots of the lake in the early morning, I shot this image with posting it here in my mind as a downloadable wallpaper for your computer.  I’ve posted it in 2 different sizes – 800×600 and 1024×768.  If you like it, just click on the picture and when it opens in a new window, you can right click, save it to your computer and use it as the wallpaper for your screen.  Fall is here – get out and enjoy the brilliance of creation around us before we’re seeing white for the next  months !

Amelia’s Baptism

Today was a pretty special day for Jennifer & Andrew and their daughter Amelia.  Amelia celebrated her first baptism with family and friends there to support her and her parents.  Afterwards, the lunch and get together was something else – Jennifer did a great job of organizing and Carmens did a fantastic job with all the food !  I had a great time getting together with this family again, and every time I do, it just seems to get a little more special.  Congratulations Amelia !

Expecting Great Things…..

A while ago, Lisa went to the home of some very good friends of ours, Tyra and Matt for a very special shoot.  They were expecting their first child.  After shooting their wedding last year, we were thrilled to get to see them again, do some catching up and of course, document this time in their family.  The pictures turned out fantastic with just a simple white background and a couple small lights.  You don’t need a big fancy studio and thousands of dollars worth of equipment (although it would be nice – don’t get me wrong) to create something that a family will cherish for many years and pass along to future generations.  So if you or someone you know is interested in making some memorable images from this special time in life, YES we do maternity pictures.

On Saturday, we had a real treat in capturing Shannon & Scott’s wedding day for them.  A drive through the country set the tone with the fall colors just starting to peek through the trees.  Laughing along with both of them as they got ready, we got a sense that this was one of those weddings that were just meant to be.  All through the day, not even the rain could put a damper on the smiles and laughs that they had for each other, their fantastic families and their friends.  While we had to make some changes to the pictures because of the rain, their enthusiasm and pure happiness shines through more than any scenic setting could have.  Congratulations to you both on a wonderful day, and the start of your life together !

A girl, a guy and a Nova…..

I’ve been friends with Amanda for a few years now and since she’s been dating Terry and hearing her talk about him, you just knew this day was coming.  When it arrived, it was an honor to be involved as their photographers.  From the gorgeous dress to the thought provoking ceremony and super fun reception – it was a great day all around.  We’ve saved posting some of their pictures until they arrived back home from their honeymoon so they could see them first but now that they have, please view away, tell your friends and enjoy them as much as we enjoyed taking them !

Once in a while, a couple comes along that just makes me laugh.  Meet Dana & Kevin – a couple that just makes me laugh.  Near the end of our shoot there was a sign on one of the play structures that said “Adult Supervision Required” and it just seemed fitting that a couple that could have this much fun and laughs with each other on a windy, chilly day while getting sprayed with water from crashing waves should require some sort of supervision.  I can’t wait until wedding day to meet their families & friends and laugh with them all over again !
