This was a real special day for Urban & Diane and all their family & friends. From the ceremony at People’s Church to the formal pictures at the Royal Botanical Gardens and the reception at the Leander Boat Club – there was lots of emotion, laughs and happiness. We want to wish them all the best as they start a new journey together as husband & wife, best friends and life long companions.

Over the years, people have asked if I did pet photography. Well guess what ? After Saturday’s wedding (blog post later this week) I woke up Sunday and was ready to give it a try, so I called a few places where I knew cool dogs hung out, brought a white backdrop, a few flashes and a bag of Snausages. Meet Milo, Roxas, Mieke and Maggie – our first furry friends at Apertures.
On Saturday, Lisa’s friend Ligia and her fiance Alan invited their families and close friends to celebrate their wedding and it was a great day despite the rainy weather in Toronto. From the ceremony to the fun time at the Vaughan Mills Nascar Speedpark Arcade to the wonderful reception at Festiflor Banquet Center, this was just a very special day from start to finish. On Friday, my oldest daughter’s school soccer team (Chedoke) was involved in a tournament at Glendale High School and I tagged along to see one of the games and brought the camera because it was such a beautiful day. The girls played great, supported each other and had fun, even though the score in this game didn’t end in their favor.

On a great sunny Saturday earlier this month, Shannon and Beau tied the knot and exchanged vows in front of a packed room of family and close friends. The dress was perfect, the guys wore sneakers and everyone had a great time all day long. We were thrilled to shoot at Slainte Irish Gastropub where they first met in between the ceremony and reception and document their entire day for them and we hope you enjoy looking at the images just as much as we enjoyed taking them.
It finally happened – and it couldn’t have turned out better. After a lot of planning and attention to the little things that pull a wedding together, the big day arrived and we had a great time with their friends and family watching them exchanging vows, beginning a new chapter in their relationship and partying the night away. The Grand Olympia and Royal Botanical Gardens provided great venues to host a wonderful day. We wish Troy and Marissa all the best together and wanted to share some of the images from their big day with you.
It was just about 3 years ago when we first got to work with Jenn & Nate for their engagement, then it was their wedding, then a girls day out in Burlington with Jenn & her friends and now – it’s their first baby – Liam. This little guy did super for his first papparazi style shoot! We even got him to close his eyes and sleep a few times. Congratulations to Jenn & Nate – we look forward to documenting his first year with you!
When Kristy asked if I would come and take pictures for this combination party at the Burlington Art Center, I knew it would be a fun night with lots of great people around so of course I said yes. Kristy’s moving to New York to be with her soon to be husband James and with the Big Apple theme all around them, their guests danced the night away, wished them well and had some very emotional times with them as well. It’s always hard to say goodbye to a great friend, but when the friendship will go on forever, it’s more like “see you later” and not really goodbye. See you later Kristy – all the best to you and James and your bright future together !
